Communication

We all communicate with each other in a range of ways, whether it is by our facial expressions, gestures or the language we use. Families play an important part in supporting communication and language development in their children. So many of our everyday interactions, such as your baby smiling at you and you smiling back are building their communication skills. These skills feed into language development as children learn key words and simple sentences which go on to become the language they use to communicate. The most important thing is to spend time talking and playing together.
