As a service we work hard to raise aspirations and improve attainment for all children and young people we come into contact with. Music is an educational building block and can improve learning skills, boost pupil and social development. It also fosters team working, helps build life skills, underpins better behaviour and encourages creativity. Music is fun and is for everyone!
We believe that making music is inspirational and enables pupils to realise their potential within a culture of inclusivity, team working and positive thinking.
The City Music Service is an active member of Music Mark the UK Association for Music Education which enables us to keep up to date with initiatives and work closely with other Music Services in the West Midlands.
We are also a key funded partner of The Music Partnership which are a group of the region’s leading quality music education providers committed to ensuring all young people have the opportunity to sing, learn an instrument and perform as part of an ensemble or choir.
